Displaying your action figures is an inherently satisfying activity, because it allows you to showcase all the figures you’ve acquired through your collecting journey. How will you jazz up your collection display though? Some people use epic backdrops, multi-tier display stands, and other various things; but probably one of the coolest things you can do to decorate your display are with are LED lights.
When it comes to lighting for your display area, you have quite a few different options. What kind of style do you want for your action figure display? Note: Many of the lighting options I’ll be covering come with a remote controller for the lights, changing colors, and the ability to be synced with music. Not all of them have these features, but some of them do.
1. LED Light Strips
Let’s start off with LED light strips. Everyone loves LED light strips, they look great when stuck to the back of your TV, lining the floor of your bedroom, stuck underneath furniture, and, yes, they can look great when used on your action figure display shelf.
Whether you’re using bookshelves, storage cabinets, or display cases you should be able to get LED light strips mounted in there.
2. Light Bar
LED Light Bars can be stood up with your figures and may look really cool standing up behind your figures and facing the wall behind them or the back of the bookshelf. This could create cool ambient light behind your figure display.

Curtain lights are frequently used for exactly what they sound like they would be used for—adding something colorful to your curtains. Around windows and walkways are where you will find most uses for curtain lights; however, that’s not to say that you can’t incorporate them into your action figure display. You can utilize the curtain of lights behind your action figure display if the back of the shelves is open or around the doorway to the your display room.
